Major General Neil D. Van Sickle

With the Army Air Force in 1940, Maj. Gen. Van Sickle flew Japanese bombing missions and was stationed aboard an anti-submarine ship. Author of "Modern Airmanship" and the recipient of many medals, Maj. Gen. Van Sickle retired in 1968. He attended Minot High School and Minot State College before his appointment to West Point in 1934.
