Norsk Høstfest actively seeks vendors who have demonstrated a history of producing high quality, Nordic-themed products to participate at the festival. All items sold must be in the character and spirit of Norsk Høstfest and be representative of the Nordic theme. All work must be handcrafted by the Exhibitor or approved in advance by the Nordic Content Coordinator. All other products must meet the Scandinavian theme criteria.
Vendors must have an executed application with paid booth space fee for participation. Applications will be considered on a juried basis. Notification of acceptance will be mailed/emailed by June 1. If your application is not accepted, the deposit will be refunded.
SALES & TAX
Vendor is responsible for collecting and paying 5.5% North Dakota sales tax. A North Dakota State tax permit number is required. Craftsmanship and related products must be high quality and have an authentic Scandinavian connection. It also must be artist's own work. Work that falls below quality standards, or work not representative of Scandinavia shall be removed at the discretion of the Nordic Content Coordinator.
NORDIC THEME & COSTUME
Exhibitors and workers in the Viking Market booths are encouraged to be in Nordic apparel such as bunads, Nordic sweaters, Viking clothes, etc.
SETUP & DISMANTLING
Setup is 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 25. All booths must be set up and ready to begin operation by 9 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 25. Vendors will open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday-Saturday. Booths must be staffed at all times. Dismantling begins at 8 p.m. after closing Saturday, Sept. 28. Booths cannot tear down before 8 p.m. Saturday.
The Høstfest Ticket Office sells General Admission tickets until 7 p.m. each evening, including Saturday. Saturday evening ticket buyers are entitled to the same experience and value as those patrons purchasing other festival nights. ALL BOOTHS ARE REQUIRED TO REMAIN OPEN UNTIL 8 P.M. Booths who close before 8 p.m. will be reported to the Nordic Content Coordinator and it may jepordize future participation. Dismantling begins at 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28.
