Eric M. Hilton

1993 INDUCTEE

Eric Michael Hilton, vice chairman of Hilton Hotels Corporation, was inducted into the Scandinavian-American Hall of Fame for his significant contributions to business.

Born July 1, 1933, to business leader Conrad Hilton, Eric Hilton grew into the Norwegian-American family business, beginning his apprenticeship with the Hilton Hotels Corporation in 1951. He attended Texas Western University at El Paso, Texas. By 1969, he was senior vice president of Hilton Inns, became senior vice president of development with Conrad Hotels in 1983, and in 1990 was named president of Conrad Hotels.

Mr. Hilton became executive vice president of Hilton Hotels Corporation in 1992 and this year (1993) was named vice chairman. He is a director of the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, Conrad International Hotels and the Little League Foundation. He served on advisory boards of the Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston and the Future Business Leaders of America of Washington, D.C.

He and his wife Bitten Bello, parents of six children, reside in Las Vegas and he maintains offices in Beverly Hills, California.
